Last time, in Bloodstrike, the microscopic villain Dr. Moth was stepping all over Suprema's brain. (Eat your demonically-possessed heart out, Jean Loring!) Now, Bloodstrike turns to the only hope of saving her: Atheists.

Bloodstrike takes Suprema's unconscious body to the secret home of the Tongue of Ptah, the enclave of atheist scientists he met some issues back. Unfortunately, he and the doormen still have some bad blood between them from their last meeting.





Before they can make much headway in helping Suprema, however, Dr. Moth takes over her body and goes on a rampage.















Dr. Moth leaves Suprema's head and enlarges to giant size.

So what I'm taking away from the past couple of years is that if Rob Liefeld actually had a comics company all his own at the moment, their motto would be 'everything's better without Liefeld'. I mean, seriously. These are readable, fun superhero comics. Fancy that.

So tell me, how did someone NOT get sued for that character in the bottom left corner of the #1 issue?

Well, Lawsuits do take time to prepare, and I think Rob had gone through at least two companies before the lawyers caught up with him :)

Interesting you should mention that, as this is actually the current creative team's last issue. Here's the next issue blurb:

I really like the look of this series, I couldn't find the first trade when I looked a couple weeks ago, but if I ever do see it I'll be sure to pick it up.
That said, I see the colorist is still making everyone really pale, which is just kind of bizarre to see. Other than that the art is quite nice as far as I'm concerned.

Still not crazy about the art, but the writing is good; it actually took a few seconds to get the Notre Dame joke. And I've wanted to see more of Twilight in her new costume since Moore's Supreme.
