Date: 2013-01-04 10:07 pm (UTC)Joker almost got omnipotent several times---once in the Injustice League sequence in Morrison's JLA, once when he got the Spectre's powers---but "Emperor Joker" was one of the best Joker stories EVER...
And it ran in the Superman books!
Nothing's scarier than a madman being in charge of reality, but it was truly funny at times also, in Joker's warped way.

Date: 2013-01-06 06:55 am (UTC)I never liked when writers wrote their relationship like Joker doesn't give a crap about her. Of course he doesn't love her in healthy, selfless way, but he does care. The whole reason he tried to kill her for the first time in old DCU, was because he started to care.
If Harley ever died, I always though perfect reaction for Joker would be, if he at first was like (not angry, just annoyed) "Stop faking idiot, we still have job to do!", Then, after some one would explain to him, that she's dead, he would be like "Wait. She's actually dead? Huh..." He wouldn't be sad, but he would be confused.
