At least we have a reason for the new costumes, assuming they're following Colossus' armor in Cable & X-Force: the outfits are tech designed to stablilize the former Phoenix Five (an Magneto's) screwed up powers.

Say what you like about the average Marvel citizen but they sure do keep up with fashion trends, considering that their signs show cyclops' new costume design and not any one of the variations of his normal visor that he wore for years upon years.
