Yeah, Eric's response to her starting to cry would probably be a whole lot creepier.

This definitely reads as a whole lot less creepy and contemptible in general compared to the scene with Carol. But then I never liked the Grady Ant-Man anyway.

It's less creepy--which is not a terribly high bar, since Eric O'Grady deserved massive amounts of jail time--but I'm not sure it's much better from the victim's point of view. If some dude sneaks into your room and watches you while you're undressed, is it terribly comforting to know he's focused on your emotions and thought processes instead of your boobs? I think I'd actually find that a worse violation of privacy.

Fair point, but.. Well, still, Scott at least has decent intentions here rather than being a lecherous ass.

Certainly unnerving, but the context does help. He sent her a flower with a note asking her to come back to the Fantastic Four, with the implication being that when she got it he would pop up to full size to welcome her back. Then the above panels happen, she answers the door to get a package, which turns out to be from the Yancy Street Gang, and he grows to full size to try and warn her.

Scott's face in that first panel is pretty great. He's all like "Yes, this is definitely going to be a smashing success!" and it's absolutely adorable.
I love Mike Allred's art so much.

This. I was really depressed when iZombie got canned, but Allred is a perfect fit for a book like this, frankly.
