I'm tilting my head at the third panel of the first scan. Mr. Miracle is looking down at Big Barda? Isn't she, like, a foot taller than he is?

Maybe Scott's standing on the coffee table.

She's lifting him up to heft him over her shoulder. Or he's still on her lap on the couch.

Or he's off the couch entirely and standing.

Or he's standing on her lap and she's elongating her upper torso thanks to a Gingold infusion.

Based on the second panel, it looks like he rose to his knees on the couch, while she's still seated.

A measure of a good comic artist is that you can completely understand the story and get as much out of it from a single page, when someone else might need 24 to make the same point. This is why Emmy C ought to be more popular.
