Not familiar with that first one, but...ick. The situation in "Top 10" was VASTLY different from the one here (though our friends in Far-Right politics would argue otherwise).
True, though Night Fox certainly doesn't seem to love Agent Twilight (through deep denial or just being a complete asshole, or both), in both cases I cited ""love" is entirely the wrong word, but the Batman analogue having a sexual interest in his Robin analogue and it making him pretty much completely vile.
Well-spotted, old bean. There's also The Boys, with Tek Knight (although that's pretty indiscriminate, and Ennis ends up pinning it on a brain tumor) and Black Noir.
IIRC Not out, no, but they were caught in flagrante delecto by Night Fox's wife. Night Fox since then has denied that he is gay, more or less blamed Twilight ("Agent Twilight" is a very clunky name) for the whole thing and they've split up as a team.
I'm sure that splitting up as a crimefighting duo immediately after Agent Twilight made his coming out announcement will totally end any speculation the press or public have about Night Fox's sexuality. Because everyone knows the faster you scurry away from someone openly gay, the more secure you are in your own straightness.
My question is does the Mrs. realize how it looks and is just too caught up in the personal drama to think in PR terms, or is she steering her husband toward a Rock Hudson & Jim Neighbors-shaped train wreck intentionally?
As for your other question, AFAIK it's entirely the other way around. As his manager, Night Fox's wife is, if anything, more coldly detached than he is. She's looked at this whole thing on how it would impact on action figure sales and the marketing of the Night Fox name than the impact it would have on her marriage which seems to have been more of a practical business arrangement than a romantic one in any event..
