Whilst there are several fascinating characters here, ones with personalities and abilities that would be intriguing to see long term, I'm not sure that a deathmatch story was the way to do it.

The story doesn't so much engage me with the battles, as annoy me that I'm not seeing actual stories with these characters.

Still, better than Arena and more engaging.

I'm so tempted to do a "They Just didn't care" post on Arena, but I'd rather do a retrospect of the good we had with the casts before all this crap happened.

The "they just didn't care" could be very funny, I mean, I like Arena, but I'd still find a post like that rather fun.
