Happy 75th Anniversary Lois Lane!

Lois Lane is awesome, and she is 75 today! Unfortunately I don't have anything directly to hand of her being awesome, so instead we can look at her solo series from yesteryear and be thankful that although her treatment in the present can be somewhat sketchy at times, at least it wasn't as bad it used to be.




















...Come to think of it, most of these stories sound hilarious. I demand a Lois series like this one! Only her having wacky adventures, not mooning over Superman.

That's Wilbur from Accounts, who signs all her expense claims, Joe from the Legal Department, who sees more of her than most boyfriends, given the number of depositions she needs to give after breaking up crime rings, and Clara, who has to deal with all her calls when Lois is out on a case.

Hmm, definitely a lot of crack in Lois' book back in the Silver Age, but I always think, despite her scheming to get Superman to marry her, she never stopped going after the story. In the Golden Age she began as a career woman when that was rare, and she wasn't relegated to the society pages, but the front page! Again, rare, but that's our Lois! Even when the '50s dictated that she want marriage and family, she still was a kick-ass reporter! :)
