Herctacular!
Apr. 23rd, 2013 02:10 pmJust a quick look at some of the amazingness that is Marvel's version of the mythological strongman, HERCULES!

Hitting the Thing in his rocks? Dang, Herc.
During Slott's run on She-Hulk, Herc got sued for assault by D-list super villain the Constrictor. He...did not do a good job defending himself.

The big guy's a hit with the ladies too! When they aren't hitting him.

His "jailbait" being Amadeus Cho.
*cough*

The general idea being everybody loves Herc.

Ha, awesome. I have to post more from the Hercules/Power Pack backup sometime.

You shut up, Gravity. You shut the hell up.

Date: 2013-04-23 07:45 pm (UTC)I miss Hercules. And Agents of Atlas too. It did lose steam on the second/third relaunch, sadly, but the initial mini and series were great.

Date: 2013-04-25 12:11 am (UTC)One of the things I liked about Lightspeed being in Avengers Academy was when she disarmed Jeremy Briggs' missiles in mid-air like it was no big thing...those four have been superheroes literally since childhood, I am always very happy when Alex and Julie are shown to be quite experienced....now we just need Jack and Katie to re-enter the MU in some capacity :)

Date: 2013-04-25 03:05 am (UTC)It's got the same "super competent kid teams with powerful hard-drinking immortal" vibe that made the first series click so well - hell, if anything, "Incredible Hercules" took most of it's cues from the first "A&A" series, which is why it isn't much of a surprise that the co-writer from Herc is now writing Archer and Armstrong.
And even if you didn't read Incredible Hercules? Read Archer and Armstrong anyway, it's awesome.
