In case any of you don't know, Superman is my all time favorite character in all of a fiction, and recently, IGN just posted a preview from the upcoming Superman title: "Adventures of Superman." This time with no Orson Scott Card (yay!), and a story by Jeff Parker and Chris Samnee (I'll repeat my previous: yay!). Out of all the pictures that were displayed, this one was my favorite.

No problem, we're all entitled to our own opinions, and I'll be the first to admit that I didn't think Samnee's work was all that great either when I first saw it; but he has quickly changed my opinion about it and he is now one of (if not my all-time) favorite artists. Then again... Superman's torso does look a little bit long compared to his legs.

Adventures of Superman is a series not connected to any particular continuity, specifically so folks can just do what they want.

So can we have a Batman one where Damian is still around, and sometimes works with Batgirl-Steph, especially on the nights Dick doesn't want to be Batman and goes back out on patrol as Nightwing whilst Cass keeps an eye on Gotham?

Close enough to the Superman I grew up with (Had old VHS tapes of the Fleischer Superman cartoon episodes :D) that I'm happy with this.

When you say no OSC, do you mean they cut out his story, or is this just another issue?

I mean that it's been "delayed." Which is a fancy way of saying: "this story will never see the light of day."

This really emphasizes for me that while the New 52 Superman is fine and all, he's not and probably will never be what I think of when I hear the name Superman.

Why do people hate the new DCnU Superman? Is the new look, or something else? I'm just a little puzzled by the reactions here.

The reason I don't like the DCnU Superman is because he doesn't act like Superman. The only DCnU Superman comic where he acts like Superman (so far) is Action Comics, but it won't last that long because it's going to be taken over by Scott Lobdell soon (for a brief period of time).
