I actually think that Batman is one of the superhero characters best equipped to handle death well. He's got a pretty massive support system, and it would be pretty cool to show that the Bat-family is a positive thing that can help Batman cope with the worst of times. It would be a good shift from the normal comic book clichés.

But instead we get Batman punching one of his sons.
