Lorna was originally Bobby's girlfriend back in the days of the O5. She eventually left him for Havok, but she briefly hooked up with Bobby again after the whole Nurse Annie incident.

I can't wait until Cloud shows up as well. Because nothing says "fun" like a nebula that becomes both a nearly-naked girl and a nearly-naked guy. And by "fun" I mean "uncomfortable" and "my teenage self was really, really, confused for a while, there."

And yeah, Cloud should count as one of Bobby's exes, if they're dredging them all up. And yeah, she shows up on next issue's cover, so...

It's a Neil Gaiman story that showed up in a Secret Origins Special. It has since been collected with the Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader? story.

The Riddler has always been a villain of... variable lethality depending on the take they're going for. Perhaps ironically the most gleefully lethal he's ever been was in the 1960's TV series which that panel references, with Frank Gorshin giggles at whatever nasty fate he has planned for Batman and/or Robin being genuinely disturbing.

Marjorie Liu was really reaching to bring Nurse Annie as as Bobby's "ex". I wish she or editorial had had the guts to bring Cloud back for something besides a cover shot; that at least could have had interesting implications. Between that, the Kitty/Logan scene, and the fact that Northstar continues to get no development outside of the Big Gay Storyline, I wasn't a huge fan of this issue. The art's lovely, though.

Nurse Annie? I thought it was sorta of an unwritten policy not to mention any of Austen's X-Men run (what with the whole Nurse Annie/her kid/Lorna/Havok fiasco and then that whole exploding communion wafers and faux-Rapture storyline) again. Certainly over at DC pre-reboot the Superman comics pretended none of what he wrote or any of the characters he created ever happened.

Maybe I'm missing something, but why would anyone be angry that their boyfriend was happy to see their ex-girlfriends? Oh no! You're still on good terms with people who were in relationships with and are happy to see them again! You cad! Don't you know once you have a new girlfriend you must shun your old girls for all time!?

Besides, he DIDN'T look happy to see them. Ever since Polaris showed up, he was like 'What the hell?' and it went downhill from there.

More or less my thoughts, though I think it would be fairly contextual thing amd depend on HOW happy he looked to see them, compared to how happy he'd been to see HER.

And it's the first reaction that counts I suppose, how you look when you've had a moment or two get over the shock doesn't count as much as you do the moment you see them.

It doesn't even work in that context, though -- Bobby showed up at the coffee shop, gave Kitty, his current girlfriend, a smooch and her reaction was, "Whoa, wait, are we doing PDA's now?" So it's not like he showed up, ordered a coffee, and treated her like furniture until Lorna showed.

And really, it's not like Kitty has room to be pissy about that kind of thing, given her relationship with Colossus. He literally threatened to kill her and the kids under her care during AvX, and she's still all wistful about him in this issue.



So yeah, her getting her tail in a twist over Bobby being at all pleased to see his teenage crush, longtime girlfriend, or...a person he kind of liked at one time, I guess, comes off as either incredibly lacking in self-awareness or just hypocritical.

I just hate seeing Kitty written as having the emotional maturity and awareness of a very sheltered sixteen-year-old.

There was a one-shot story where Spidey, Ice-Man (Champions/Defenders era) and Firestar (New Warriors era) teamed up to fight a version of Videoman (who was originally from the Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends cartoon). Bobby and Angelica briefly dated, then called it quits.

The idea of Bobby and Kitty getting together is... a bit strange. I just don't see it, but maybe it's because I've always had a soft spot for Kitty/Illyana or Kitty/Rachel.
