Fanart ...Wednesdays? - Cass Cain edition
Jun. 12th, 2013 05:44 pmDedicated to my personal favorite Batgirl....nuff said...
(Oh and I'm posting this early because I fully expect to be swamped tomorrow and unable to post :P)
This first one's an oldie that's made the rounds already, but it still blows me out of the water everytime I see it :D
Little concerned about this one, since it is more sexualized by the artist's own admission. It was done as a commission so he did it at the request of the commissioner, so please treat the artist with respect. On the whole, I like this design and especially that awesome "faceless" helmet!
I remember when Dick Grayson took up the mantle of Batman there was a brief vogue amongst some fans for Cass becoming Nightwing. I personally didn't think that was the right course for her character, but the "Casswing" designs came out pretty nice.
Also, as a sidebar I prefer the blue. But this one still looks pretty cool!
This one's a little confusing. According the the picture's description this is meant to be Cassandra, but the purple is making me think of Stephanie more. But either way, I'm liking these retro-style designs so I figured I'd toss it in.
The Batgirls...what more can I say?
No Steph, that's not Crane-style kung fu...
Aww, don't feel down Cass...
...that's our girl! Picks herself up and gets right back into the fight!
Always loved Cassandra's awesome muscles. As one particular webcomic superhero once said "Girl abs!"
But her back is also beautiful, scars and all!
See? Stephanie agrees with me
That's all for now! Hope people enjoy! And sorry if there are any repeats!

Date: 2013-06-13 06:55 pm (UTC)By the way, would anyone remember some fanart from a few years ago? The artist had drawn the Batboys in tuxes, and the Batgirls in both tuxes and little black dresses (or red, there were two versions I think). I keep thinking about them, because there were a lot of James Bond jokes thrown around, which got into Nick Fury/SHIELD jokes, which got me thinking of Agents of B.A.T.M.A.N. (Bureau Against Terrorists, Madmen, And Nutcases.) Because there's that Russian agency that has a bat as their emblem.
*Sans Damian. This was about the time he was introduced, and nobody liked him. He had tried to murder Tim, after all.
