I find it kinda funny that they went to such huge extremes to kill Sabretooth just to bring him back anyway.

Eh, comic books.

You ever get an idea that you think is funny and then you execute it and it just doesn't work the way you thought it would? That was this comic.

Oh well. (Also, I'm aware it wasn't ice cream vision, but molecular ice cream manipulation or whatever.)

...I honestly don't know where this came from.

Remember Korvus? Neither does anyone else!

The new Atom is probably totally awesome and I’m probably being unfair here, but hey. I’m a Ryan Choi fan. I’m still a little bitter.

(Is this how Ray Palmer fans felt? But they must’ve known he’d be coming back…)

Huh. I was aiming for heart-warming and I think I missed and hit depressing. Whoops.

I'm not certain, but I think that was an episode of Star Trek: Enterprise.

There was an episode of Enterprise, "Unexpected," where Trip Tucker accidentally got pregnant with an alien woman's baby. SFDebris has a review if you're interested. (Note: Trigger Warning: Rape.) (No, Trip's the one being raped, and it's played for laughs.)

I've never seen the appeal of Sabretooth so I'm not sure at all why Marvel felt the need to bring him back. There's an entire handful of characters who work better as antagonists for him.

Origins Sabretooth was one of the only good things about the movie, yeah, as was Deadpool before they made him all non-Deadpool and just plain goofy. Definitely one of those films that had a lot of potential but just little things kept tripping it up; Like, exactly what time period is it meant to be set in? Stuff like that.

Well, I think part of it is that for a long time, he was one of few villains where HIM winning was a status quo.

Because they needed to kill Daken, being that he was biracial and bisexual and therefore clearly not as good as Sabretooth.

I like the current, RAY PALMER, SCIENCE SPY as an agent of SHADE better than his post "Sword of the Atom" exploits, so I was fine with Choi. I don't think this particular Atom is long for the world though since she a spy/is pretending to be Palmer's handpicked protégée and when Frankenstein discovers her in the big Trinity War crossover, I can see him doing something nasty to her.

I'll never understand why some writers try so hard to make a death look super permanent when with few exceptions 99% of the time you know sooner or later the character will be back.

Some people are under the mistaken impression that the way to prevent resurrections is to make the death seem super-permanent.

The way to prevent resurrections is to not kill them, just do something that'll clearly *get them out of the way* for awhile but non-permanently. Especially if it's done in a way that them escaping/returning won't be a huge shock, so writers looking for cheap drama can't pull a 'shocking resurrection!'.

I favor the "launch them into space" route myself. It gets them out of the way, opens up potential adventures for them off-world, and if they are villains they get the extra karmic punishment of going insane from isolation!

I admit I love the way the villain of Part II of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Kars, was defeated. The guy had become the most powerful being on Earth and was immortal to boot. None of that helped him in the end when Joseph Joestar launched him into space with a freaking volcano!

Of course, as Creed's ressurection clearly shows, if someone wants a character that badly, they'll just say "The Hand A Wizard Did It" and bring him back, plausibility be damned. So why bother with the dramatics?

*I* think it works! :)

Even if you don't know the original comic, MM is known for having a grab-bag of powers.

About Sabretooth.I just assumed Mr.Sinister finally cloned him. like he was doing, all the time, for the Marauders.

I think Threnody shut down Sinister's Marauder cloning facilities in one of her first appearances, but I suppose he could have had a spare.

Considering the last time we saw Sinister he had a literal army of X-Men clones, I'm pretty sure he has all the cloning facilities he'll ever need.

I don't even particularly like Hank Pym (I don't hate him or anything I just don't feel that strongly about him one way or another) and I thought that last strip was sad. It's no surprise the guy has a complex about failure since his entire life has been defined by his failings.

Hank and Dr. Thaddeus Venture should hang out. Or maybe not, since they might end up inventing something really bad.

I'm not doing this just to be an asshole, but it should probably be "mess this up."

I'm one of the people who thinks a really glaring grammatical error in a line that's meant to have a big attached payoff is a good way to undercut it.

Your primary noun is in the wrong place relative to the verb that modifies it. He's not messing up/with "up"; he's messing "this up."

Was this comic the sort of thing you were going for?
