And now a REALLY rare Chris Ware piece. Published by Eclipse, this is Chris Ware's first known published work, even before his appearances in RAW. Chris Ware is unhappy with this book and has offered to buy anyone's copies so he can destroy them. I don't think it's THAT bad, but it certainly is far different than his work you might be used to and...well, let's be kind and say it owes a lot to MR. X. Anyway, here's a brief sampling. (including an early ad parody by him, giving a hint of what he'd do later with ACME.) And here's a little more background on it.

The style is kind of an interesting idea, but...yeah. It really is. Especially compared to what he did after. I do kind of like the eyes on the rebel dude.
