Holy crap, they're crappier versions of Nanny, that robot Magneto built to take care of the X-Men while he had them trapped in those infantilizing chairs. Reed Richards, design stealer.

Why don't the mombots even have human-shaped hands? It's like Reed read the research about the ineffectiveness of wire mothers and said, "Oh yeah? Well, they'll love mine!"
