This is a funny comic strip I found by Max Wittert. I don't know if he'd be okay with me posting the entire comic or not, so I'm only posting a preview; you can read the full thing over at his tumblr.

Oh animated series Jean... you were so useless and whiney. (But not as useless as Jubilee, who throughout the series rarely won a fight or even used her powers for more than tickling villains.)

To be honest, I'm not sure I find this that amusing. I like the art style, I just don't "get" it

Perhaps I need to watch some 1990's X-Men cartoons to get the context, but I can find that a tough slog at times too when it descends into "Look, it's Captain Action Figure" territory

Jean exhausted by using her powers happened almost as often as something trapping Storm in a small space or Xavier getting knocked out of his hover-dealie.

Ah. Like Icon, I didn't really get that it was referencing that specifically. I think it kind of undersells the joke.

Yeah, I feel like this joke would've been more relevant when the cartoon was on. As it is, it feels like it's at Super Friends Aquaman joke level.
