What you need to understand when studying Shakespeare is that there is nothing too lowbrow for him. He will make the sex joke. He will make aaalllll the sex jokes.

You translate some of his slang into modern day English and it is just unbelievable torrents of filth.

This works better without the license. A musical number doesn't work in comics... for obvious reasons.
