The team has realised that, basically, their new home is a dump, and the Cuckoo's, Eva and Jean Grey come to one conclusion, one so porfound they risk disturbing Ilyanna in her quarters...



I suspect that Magik is more offended by being thought of as "the nice one" than anything else.

I suspect she didn't dress for bed like that when she and Scott were an item. Are they still an item? At all?

It only now just dawned on them that their base is a dump? Still surprised that no has triggered a nasty leftover Weapon Plus thingy-a-bob yet.

Actually for Bendis's dialogue, this isn't too bad. Better than some of his recent stuff.

As for Emma/Cyclops love life status, I swear they are dancing around it to avoid answering it.

This will make up for Y amount of recent bad X-Writing. I'm not sure how much Y represents, but I know it's a lot.

Somehow, this makes me think of a friend's theory that Emma Frost is perpetually psychically projecting her image to everyone, and that she's really about twenty pounds heavier and perpetually wearing a grubby set of pink sweats...

Reminiscent of Moonglow in the original Squadron Supreme maxi-series. She appeared to be a beautiful, slim young woman but, given her powers were illusion-casting magic, it didn't come as much of a shock to discover she was actually older, not as pretty and somewhat heavier than she appeared.

It's been my belief, largely based upon that very depiction, that is why Zatanna fought evil in a top hat, fishnets, and pumps.

Is Ilyana supposed to be that tall? I mean, I know the other girls are teenagers, but... actually come to think of it, how old biologically is Ilyana supposed to be now?

Around 5'5" in terms of height, providing that the data on marvel.com is still up to date.

I'd say this might be a case of "depending on the artist" (she also looks more toned), but we should also factor in all the things she went through... and the fact she is Colossus' sister (Peter stands 6'6" tall in his normal form).

Most certainly, she isn't "Little Snowflake" anymore.

She's hellfire club. I would assume even if the assets were seized (honestly I have no idea if they have been), she has hidden offshore bank accounts and such.

First page, Third panel. That line about the things you can put all your music in, I'd have thought that would be something young Jean might be saying, since she's from the past and all.

Hmm, am I the only one feeling that this whole scene, dialogue structure, pacing, artwork, humor and all feel very... manga-ish? Not that that is a bad thing in the slightest.

I was thinking that Magik's face reminded me a little of Queen Emeraldas from Captain Harlock, or Misa Hayase in The Super Dimension Fortress Macross.

Actually, they thought Illyana *was* Emma. Their character designs are just way too similar now.

And that outfit is not nearly as embarrassing as Emma's Avril Lavigne thing she wore last issue.

The Cuckoos used to always just creep me out, a lot, but Bendis is starting to make them oddly entertainingly adorable. I appreciate that.

As they were sort of based on Wyndham's Midwich Cuckoos, especially the movie "Vilage of the Damned", I think they were supposed to creep you out...

Agreed, but I think it's fair to think that the weirdness they experience every day mellowed them out some what. They're still weird for not angsting about ANY of it. They just seem to get more cynical...
