It's things like turning sentient beings into livestock (and from what the above scans suggest, breeding said beings with actual cattle) that cause people to have a low opinion of you, Dr Richards.

It's just... squicky, like that douche Hybrid from the Space Knight and Avengers Academy comics...

Teddy Altman AKA the Young Avenger Hulkling. He's a pretty reluctant emperor, but it hasn't stopped some of the Skrulls to try and take him off Earth to reunite the empire and some of the Skrulls to try and kill him to protect their power bases.

This... I actually liked. The previous parts, not so much. I wouldn't mind seeing more Cadre K, especially in a post Secret Invasion World. Still got people hating mutants and these days, people have a mad on for Skrulls. Can make for some good and interesting stories if done right.

You know, have the writers thought about NOT writing Reed as complete asshole? Just to shake things up a little bit.

I can't entirely blame them. It just seems to come so naturally to his character. That's probably unfair to him, but it's been so consistent for so long that some of us actually can't remember a time when he didn't behave like his Venture Bros. counterpart.

I know Reed is an asshole but he is not a "complete" one. He does have redeeming qualities and depth that can make up for his dickishness. One would think they would want to focus on that given how often he has been written like you said and how known he is for it.

There are plenty of stories where Reed is a nice guy and a heroic super-scientist... it's just that there are a ton of moments from the past that make him kind of an unpleasant or pseudo-villainous character.

Like every superhero older than 20 years done something inexcusably horrible that is better to ignore. Why did they choose to reference this one? Is there any way Reed can walk away from this as not a complete dipshit/bastard? A supposed genious (and entire FF) turned sentient people into cows, which had negative effect on their children and caused them to die horrible deaths and alter human physiology. Only way I can think of would be if Reed had entire storyline dealing with consequences and guilt over what he's done and there is no way to make a story about a guy angsting over moral implication of turning aliens into cows a serious drama.

The Skrull cows actually got turned back to Skrulls, then the Alien Activities Commission forced them to turn back into cows and sent them to a slaughter house.
