Very nice and sleek redesign. It was also good to get an issue that almost purely focused on Cyborg. I really hope that one of the consequences of Forever Evil gets him his own on-going.

I like the new look much better. "More like a human being than a tank," as Victor puts it. I hope they stay with it.

But what the hell was up with Vic's father telling him he doesn't want to make him a cyborg again because he feels guilty? Like it would be better to leave him as just a head and part of a torso? It's a weird little scene, IMO.

I think couple his unattentive and even uncaring past before coupled with the fact that the way he saved his son made him a permanent "other" which undoubtedly gave him some identity issue made Vic's dad just feel very guilty about his son in general.

Well, yes. And so he should. But Victor is lying on the table hooked up to all kinds of equipment, and he is literally nothing but a head and chest. I'm just having trouble seeing how that would be better.

he ought to have accessories. Why couldn't a Cyborg wear battle armor, after all?

He ought to have a body, is what I'm saying. He does get one in the end, anyway, so it turns out all right.

Making Cyborg less tank-like in favor of a more sleek, tech-y look is a good move. Now he actually looks like the JL's tech guy instead of some dude with guns for arms who is on the team for reasons.

This was a pretty nice scene too, though I'm dreading whatever Johns does to the Metal Men. Seeing the whole gang positioned as military super drones or some shit like that is going to be awful.
