Wow, it does look like the artist is trying to go for that look, now that you mention it.

Of course, Evo!Kitty was my first introduction to Kitty's character and helped make her a favourite character, so I've got no problem with that.

I have no idea; the only time Jason Aaron wrote Mystique semi-decently, he had her try to warn Wolverine about what the Red Right Hand was going to do to him, because he had been Nightcrawler's friend.




So I don't really know what he's going for here.

To be fair, I don't know why any X-Man's reaction (other than Kurt and/or Rogue) to Mystique isn't "DIEDIEDIEDIEDIE!!!"

It took me longer than I like to figure out which of the blonde women was Illyana and which was Emma.

Not a step up to me. I didn't like how Logan was written treating Laura. I'm not looking forward to Kurt possibly eating Mystique either.

But their WatX cartoon was quite stellar except for maybe Forge so I'll give them a whirl.

Not even going to try to defend the abysmally low points of Uncanny X-Force (or New X-Men and Necrosha, for that matter), but at least these guys managed consistent, decent characterization between the bouts of tortureporn, and Yost has contributed some good stuff to the X-Men and Marvel U post-Kyle. I'll give them a shot, at least, especially since they're not ditching Northstar.

As much as superior Logan sucks and mustache twirling Mystique sucks I'm more concerned about Kurt actually, being used in this whole thing. I'm a bit sick of Scott and Logans feelings... I much rather see Kurt weigh in, y'know the guy who died for Scott and Logans original crusade only to have them both stab Hope in the back so quickly afterwards. No Logan cheerleader plz. I want to see him question both of them. We get it, Logan and Scott are tortured now lets see what Kurt thinks outside of being the sacrificial lamb. Maybe I'm the only one but its getting nauseating. I also suspect making Mystique more evil/crazy is in part to make Logan look less that way.

I love how even Kurt's return issue is about Cyclops and Wolverine. Sick of these guys sometimes. And this is coming from someone who was a fan of these guys.

I'm probably the only one, though.

How did Scott stab Hope in the back?

Also, I have a feeling more of the issue will be about Kurt and Mystique. My guess is the Cyclops scene is going to be for a couple of pages; he'll be glad Kurt is alive, Kurt will be disappointed in him over AVX, etc.

Sorry, call me jaded but I fear it will be about Logan's chestbeating in the end. I'm talking about Scott suddenly becoming more possessive of the Pheonix and tried to move Hope out of it in AVX, but I suppose it really wasnt a betrayal but more like a wtf moment.

.... Hope was thinking of rejecting the phoenix and then the avengers tried to blow it up, then it went into scott and the others... i don't see how it was his choice or his backstabing... wolverine DID try to front stab her....
