Amazing X-Men # 4 plus other Nightcrawler goodies!

Last issue Henry was stabbed in the back with an evil mystical sword that caused him to go feral and is still under its influence and he attacks Kurt. Its a rocky reunion to say the least, so Kurt does what comes naturaly with style and flare.





Kurt ports Henry around to disorient him and then he lands, while Henry is weakend Storm jumps in and pulls the sword out of possessed Beasts back. Spell broken. Beast is very happy to see Kurt.





Kurt leaves Storm in charge of the boat as he goes off in search of more X-Men that had been lost in “hell.” He comes upon Bobby and the newly recruited Firestar that just saved Bobby by setting Hell on fire. Kurt and Bobby have a nice little hug. He greets Angelica with his usual rogue self. But the reunion is short as Azazel’s forces are leaving little time to delay. Kurt gives them some back info on the Bamf’s and Azazel ‘s intentions.











Logan trudges through the snow determined to find his best friend. “We keep walking until we find him. Until we find Kurt.” While almost freezing to death in the snow Logan thinks back to a conversation with his long lost bf.





Logan is a stubborn old canuck and is determined to find his friend, of course, because Wolverines are crazy when it comes to no. His determination is rewarded with a wonderous surprise - "Elf"! Love the little detail of the frozen tear at the sound of Kurts voice. *Sniff*And gawd, that little Bamf going “Bamf” is just adorable, lol.





And the hug heard all around hell – Aaaaaw! *tear*





Logan really has a one track mind here. “Elf?” check “Booze?” check… I’m good.





Ok, this whole issue made me wibble and the art is still just gorgeous. I’m actually saddened that Aaron will be leaving and hope Kyle and Yost will keep this feeling of family going. Sorry for the hastened narration but I'm really pressed for time. I hope you enjoyed the scans! :)

I dunno. The revelation that the Bamfs are actually demonic giant lamprey-maggot hybrids that suck blood and possibly worse kind of kills the cute factor for me.

(Though, yes, to be fair, hybrid maggot-lamprey demons are a bit of a tougher sell)

As heartwarming as this all is, the promise Nightcrawler made to the Bamfs seems a tad ominous. I'm hoping it turns out to be a hilarious fakeout where the promised reward was something innocuous like nachos in the real world or something. It'll probably turn out to be something like Nightcrawler's soul though.

Sssshhhhh.....don't spoil the moment. I 100% agree with you and you're totally right but....dang it, I don't want to think about that. I don't like the that we've totally doubled-down on the whole son of Azazeal and related to demons stuff (since I think it robs Kurt of some character elements), but this whole thing is just so GOOD that I don't really care.

THIS is the Kurt Wagner I grew up reading. This is the X-Men that is a family, fighting villains and doing good. That panel with Logan and Kurt made me misty-eyed, so let us have our illusions. :)

it could be. Though there might be a revelation that in a case like this, the soul is not quantifiable. that in sharing his soul with the Bamfs he is losing nothing.
