Lola XOXO first issue

I ran across this new series, Lola XOXO, at my local comic shop this past Wednesday.  I thought it looked pretty interesting, although so far the story does seem a little paint-by-numbers.  The art is aesthetically pleasing, although quite cheesecakey (seriously, she does not dress practically for a post-apocalyptic wasteland).  Anyway, without further ado, here are four pages from the first issue:









Anyway, I thought this looked pretty interesting, and I for one am curious to see where it goes.

No no, it makes sense. After the apocalypse you need to wear as little clothing as possible to preserve limited fabric supplies.

Huh. I always thought that the leather stores just had a humongous sale prior to the apocalypse. Learn something new every day.

Also, it makes sense about the leather. With all the dead animals lying around dead from radiation poisoning, leather should be pretty common, at least in the short term.

The writer and artist both is Siya Oum.

*googles* So that's why this is familiar, I think I've seen some of her stuff in Fathom. Though this is quite a bit better than back then.
