I'm all for diversity so no cries here but red hair should have stayed. When I asked Booth why he couldn't keep the hair, he gave me scientific explanations and they didn't satisfy me honestly.
It shouldn't. Yes, red hair is a recessive trait, but most black people in the Americas are actually mixed race and some would carry the gene for red hair. Get two of them together, and they have a 1-in-4 chance of having a ginger child. Look at former Celtic guard Dennis "DJ" Johnson-- black man with freckles and red hair.
Plus if the reason is that Candice Patton was cast as Iris in the TV show, then someone should point out that Patton is biracial with a white father and it would actually be plausible for TV-Iris to have a redheaded white nephew.
Founded by girl geeks and members of the slash fandom, scans_daily strives to provide an atmosphere which is LGBTQ-friendly, anti-racist, anti-ableist, woman-friendly and otherwise discrimination and harassment free.
Bottom line: If slash, feminism or anti-oppressive practice makes you react negatively, scans_daily is probably not for you.
