I'm embarrassed I didn't make the connection. I knew it looked vaguely familiar but I was thinking more "Marvel's 1950's monster comics" than "Sesame Street"

Hey, I thought it was a freakish offspring of Two-Bad and Clawful. So it's not like you're the only one.

Though I do have the excuse that Sesame Street didn't really air here until 2K+, just traditional Muppet Show.
