those writers better not do anything like have Superman kill his parents. They do that to show he's beyond saving that will show DC is beyond saving

You know more and more I'm convinced that this title is basically just wasted potential. It feels more and more like they crammed five or six titles set in a fascinating AU into one title so none of the really interesting potential plot lines ever get the time devoted to them that they really need.

I was really looking forward to seeing the JSA charactersin their own book even if was in an alternate universe, I was even OK with the re-imagining and de-aging (just like DCU Prime) of all these characters. But the book has veered so far from what we were told it was supposed to be that its pretty much become just another Elseworlds now - and still all about Superman and Batman with the old JSA either not appearing or as support.

I seriously had trouble remembering which Evil Superman this was when I clicked on the post, because there are so damn many of them. Alternate future? Alternate present? Clone? Cyborg? Antimatter Universe? Other alternate future?

At this point it would be novel if Superman just showed up in a story and petted a guinea pig or did someone's taxes for them or something.

UGH! i WANT TO LIKE THIS. it has characters, and versions of characters i SHOULD LOVE. My love of Alan Scott and Lois Tornado, and Hawkwoman can't save me from the fact that all this is taking too damned long. 22 issues, and we know next to nothing about these characters. Alan is supposed to be the new Superman, but he was MIA for what... 5-7 issues?

Oh, man, Superman turned the Kent household into a Twilight Zone episode.

Any chance of a flashback from before the Apokolips war? I loved the five-man team they had from Robinson's run: GL, Flash, Hawkgirl, Fate and Atom.

The art team is absolutely nailing it, though. Nicola Scott is still one of the best.

I love the Kents' expressions when they see Clark and Lois at their door. Man, if Clark had been this way growing up, they'd have always lived in sheer terror. As lucky as he was to get them as parents, they were lucky that this kid wasn't pure evil (of course DC keeps making him that way now, sheesh!).

Evil Superman's got a strange definition of "now" here, considering that his MO in previous issues was annihilating any opposition as soon as his supersenses detected it. You'd expect him to zoom over to Gotham at lightspeed and melt the cave himself, or push a button and have it nuked from orbit or something. Instead he sends a memo to middle management to have some low-level mooks head over there at their earliest convenience, because that will solve everything. Darkseid is disappoint.

Those skulls just happened to gather together with just a few different bones sticking out due to happenstance and comic book laws of physics.

Otherwise, "LOOK, people! Dead EVERYWHERE!"

To evil-Superman, throwing skulls into that exact valley is the equivalent of lobbing pieces of waste paper into the recycling bin... his current record is doing it from somewhere just outside Beijing, he gave himself 15 points for that one.

What? Superman uses HEAT vision to shave? And I thought those commericals from Bill Nye and Gillette had some "freat" ideas. Afterall, they were one of the biggest promotion for the Man of Steel movie...

And now he apparently bounces it off a regular mirror rather than using a piece of reflective metal from his space ship. Which means that scene with the truck's rearview mirror from Superman II can become a reality.
