"If you miss my Tbolts when it’s gone, you really might enjoy my Red Lanterns, starting with Issue 21. Different, of course, but in the same family." -- Charles Soule

huh.... i've been meaning to get into this.... this is some really great storytelling...hmm. yes.... i like the idea of the reds being more than just balls of rage.... i mean it kinda makes them scarrier, but also more human. They are rage with cunning and intelligence, and THAT is damned scary....

Yeah, they're basically making them the animated version of the Red Lanterns.

I have nothing bad to say about this decision.

Also, if it gets of Razer and Aya, in the comics, all the better.

Indeed, the Animated version was a better take.

I didn't like most of the comic corps initially, really. The Blues were ok. The Violets would be ok if they had some *cloths and male members*. Indigos always seemed undeveloped. Reds were balls of rage with the cat being the best part. Making them people is better.

Re-gets Aya into the comics. Properly.

I prefer them being balls of rage...Makes them seem more like a force of nature than a band of serial killers

I think it would be a fun comic, the one where the Red Lanterns did send alumni newsletters…

Anything that features Guy center stage as well as a well rounded character makes me happy.

This title has been surprisingly entertaining. I only came on recently, with the most recent crossover, but I like the "biker gang" approach. ZZ and Goat Skull are hilarious in their commentary and snark.

Those two are fucking hilarious. (Though I'm getting a bit tired of Skallox, lately.)

I'm interested in this. I liked Soule's work in the Thunderbolts TPB, and the fact that Gardner's now an ex-Baltimore cop, and the mention of the corner trade, has me thinking about who he'd be on The Wire. (Probably Herc, with a little McNulty mixed in.) A little disappointed that the litany of things that pissed him off didn't include getting punched by you-know-who, but hey.

I"m not sure Guy Gardner has even *met* You-Know-Who in the Nu52.

Oh, right--the Giffen JLA probably didn't really happen (or happen in the same way), did it?

He met him...when precisely they met for the first time is unclear, since their first on-the-page meeting in JLI suggested they knew each other. They got along as well as either of them gets along with anybody. And better than most.

Interestingly the recent crossover between Red Lanterns and Supergirl shows us he'd never met Superman before, which rather narrows the potential circumstances under which he could have met the Bat.

As DC announced this among the Lantern titles, I expected it would be a short run. While it meandered for a bit, it seems to have found its stride, and I'm glad it's still going strong. I've been feeling underwhelmed by GL and GLC lately (which sucks, considering they've been long-time favorites of mine).

I've been watching a lot of Burn Notice lately, and then I see this. This kind of feels a little bit like Burn Notice In Space, and I can absolutely get behind that. Guy Gardener steering a whole lot of explosions and raining hell in the direction he wants? Gonna keep an eye on this, maybe get it in the trades.

Guy was a Baltimore cop? I thought he was a social worker.
