I'd rather they'd gone for "Ruthless" or some other actual attribute, rather than an absence of one.

There'd be some SERIOUS repercussions if that hammer was left behind... How's this for a scary image... Dr. Doom, Norman Osborn, Toad, The Wizard, really just about any Marvel villain finding it.

That is genius! The idea that they really haven't captured Thorr at all. There are select few that are worthy Thor's hammer so everyone else who picks up the hammer is fair game to be body snatched by Thorr.

Too much Game of Thrones, I think. I half expected "You're a Stark," to be followed up with some remark about Winter Coming, or some anti-Lannister sentiment.

But for everything else: I really liked Secret Warriors, I thought it was great, and outside of that everything Hickman writes has left me cold. Except for this. It's pretty standard, but he seems to be having fun with it and it's reflected in the pages. More so than his 'multiverse dying' stories.

Larocca's art is looking for X-Men styled, than his photorealistic Iron Man run that just looked plain bad, whcih is also fantastic.

Huh. Murder!Jarvis, UnThor, and Fascist America are interesting enough as one offs, I suppose, but I'm left wanting to see more of Lobotomized!Hulk. Polite, reasonable, unapologetic monsters are always weirdly fascinating.

The worst thing about nuMarvel and their desperation to hang onto the coat-tails of the movies is that we're stuck with those more 'realistic' costumes that look awful on the comic page. So when you see something like this, I keep thinking the evil Thor & the evil Cap are the real, genuine articles. I definitely prefer and miss the old looks for these characters..

That Thor costume predates the movies by a couple of years, so it's the other way around.

Agreed on the Cap one, though.

Oh I know. Yet another thing I won't forgive JMS for, in his continuing attempts to leave his mark on characters. I just mean that because the movie Thor then used it, it's become the defacto look for Thor, when to me it's very much inferior to the Jack Kirby designs..

But that's just you, the Modern Thor costume looks better and it looks like something a god would wear. The old one is dated and doesn't work anymore.

Seriously, they don't look "awful" at all. You gotta adapt with the times.

NO, it looks cheap on film. And dull on the comic page. And the irony of saying a viking God needs to adapt with the times is striking. He's not Iron Man. He's supposed to look dated!

Plus, like Superman, why in the world does Thor need armour on his arms? If the guys gets buildings dropped on him and shrugs it off, then there isn't going to be a lot that can pierce his skin. So unless the armour is magical it serves no useful purpose. The fact that it gets frequently shred on page just show how pointless it all is.

And not to sound all Kirk like but what does a God need with armour anyway? Are you saying that Hercules should have armour as well? Because I don't think that would be a good look either..

Okay, the other world Hulk kind of annoys me. "I'm a sociopath." OH NOES, THAT MAKES HIM A MONSTER.

No it doesn't, that just makes him mentally ill.

This. It really puts Hickman in the same company as Moffat and the group behind BBC's Sherlock, just throwing the term 'sociopath' in there because it makes their character sound cool and interesting and tortured.

And 616 Banner is mentally ill himself, so i doubt he'd judge his counterpart for it.

Oh goodie, another writer trotting out the term 'sociopath' without really understanding what that term means, and using it for shock value. And, ironically, the character in question even looks vaguely like Cumberbatch's Sherlock, complete with a long coat.

A clue to Hickman - if someone were disconnected FROM THE EMOTIONAL CENTERS OF THEIR BRAIN THEN THEY WOULDN'T BE LEERING LIKE A SMUG IDIOT AT THE REVELATION THEY'RE A SOCIOPATH.

Also, the 'it's just me.. General Rogers' panel somehow reminds me of the 'it was me, DIO' meme that's arisen lately.
