he doesn't look "dead" the costume looks like it took the brunt of it. he might be in the words of an old friend: Maimed or seriously injured.

I like how Iris is using her disenfranchised nephew who actually is in a rough spot as a not so subtle bargaining chip to get with Barry.

The fact she seems utterly clueless about him, and his likes/dislikes doesn't suggest that sports tickets will end well either. (I know it would have been the LAST thing I would have wanted to do)

I've noted it too and that's so NOT Iris.

Not to mention how it dumps on her previous relationship with Wally but it also makes her look very "bitchy".

They need to wrap up this story line ASAP or the future of franchise isn't good.

I think this was 'a' future Mirror Master, not 'our' Em-em. From a time ahead of Current Barry's present, but from Future Barry's past.

So, from the top of that last page, all of those people are witnesses to the murder, right?

What murder? I don't think Barry was able to stay any longer than he did, and if it's a choice between saving eleven innocents, or the one idiot supervillain who imperilled them in the first place, I know which I'd true.

Plus we don't know he IS dead. Being slashed by a hundred bits of magic mirror sounds like it's more likely to end up with a Mirror Master with internalised powers.

From what I understadn he saved the 11 innocents when he gave MM gun to the man and told him to get them out of there. Then he stood there and gloated when he could have moved MM out of there, and went away right before the freak earthquake hit.

If in the original timeline the 11 people died due to the shattered glass then I would say it's safe to say MM probably died this time. In any case that does not remove from Barry his intent and (in)action of inflicting at the very least great pain to MM and possibly death.

He did say he wants to prevent idiots like him from endangering people so this future Barry does seem to use more extreme measures. What happened in the future and what he wants to do about it are mysteries but I guess things are bad in the future and he's going to clash with present Barry.

Note that I do not disagree with that interpretation, i fully expect a present/future Barry clash. The only thing is that in the penultimate page shown here a lot of people are looking into the Mirror World and seeing Flash abandoning Mirror Master to his death, a detail that is probably not going to be brought up, but probably should.

As a huge Iris West fan, I am really REALLY disappointed in this version.They made a 180 on everything Wally related. He is OOC, Iris is OOC, heck even Barry is OOC.

The new version of relationship is incredibly forced and makes characters unlikable. It seems Barry/Wally duo will be closer to Bart/Wally relationship and...that doesn't make any sense.

Not going to read this until they reboot it.

True, but that also had the caveat of being good on its own. For the most part. This? Borderline racist and boring.

Besides I'd be more appreciative over it if it's something...better. Like say, YJ!Wally is mostly IC but I dislike that version however Timmverse!Wally is my precious despite being OOC.

It all boils down to how you write it. And Jensen/Venditti spectacularly failed to deliver as the biggest draw for their run was Wally's return, not Barry's Dark Knight phase. He's barely a plot device in this story.

Why is it that in the new 52, so much characterization and interaction boils down to ANGRY (in bold)? It's just so very boring.

Well, at least this time a character in the DC Universe only got their arm broken rather than completely severed as is the standard these days.

I can't get over the art, man - the excessive scratchy details somehow make it look Liefeldian.

The one good thing I can say about this is that it's nice to see a supervillain that doesn't want to kill lots of people, or any people for that matter of fact.

i havent been keeping up with this series... but is Iris really using Wally to get to Barry? it doesn't seem like she is here... i mean she does seem like she knows woefully nothing about Wally... but she admits his mother didn't bring him around much.

and Wally's frustration does seem founded... Barry's attitude DOES seem un Barry though....
