They throw the cops off her trail, and Kamala decides she needs a costume. Doy.



Later, she breaks into the place where Vick (Bruno's brother) is being held in order to rescue him. But suddenly, ROBOTS!

It's actually doing pretty darn well for a solo series featuring a brand-new character. First issue sold out, less than a 50% drop between the first and second issues, decent re-order activity, strong digital sales. So hopefully it'll be around for a bit.

okay, quick question....the gunman is Khamala's Cousin or a classmate? i got confused... last issue it seemed like she knew the guy but didn;t KNOW him... (well not the BIBLICAL KNOW, but the as in having a personal relationship with)

Well, boy who likes her. We don't have much indication whether she feels the same way.

Yeah, this guy is pretty much the definition of warmup boss.

To be clear, the guy in the "I'm a Bad Guy" shirt is a flunky, not The Inventor.

But yeah.

But yeah, if these are this guys minions he's probably on the same level as that drug dealer that the Runaways beat up while looking for the imposter Cloak.

I mean real bad guys get Taskmaster trained mooks, or at least actual adults.

Unless this Inventor is secretly MODOK who is slumming it, this is CR 1, 2 at best.

Shouldn't she be fighting the Rhino? Isn't he the starter villain for new heroes in the MU?

New teams fight the Wrecking Crew, new solo heroes fight the Rhino. I'm fairly sure that's an actual law or something.

Hold on. How old is this girl? She's a teenager? A child. And we're all just applauding her going out and getting shot? What a hero! She's a child. Am I missing something? Is this not sick?

As a society, we've pretty much decided she shouldn't drink, have sex, or vote. Consider what this means. We've decided she can't do these things responsibly. But running around confronting criminals of varying degrees of bad (some of which would inevitably do terrible things to her) and jumping in front of bullets, well that's different.

And everyone's just good with this? Is she being watched or something? Is SHIELD watching her, ready to jump in when she does something stupid or gets shot in the face? Did she do time training as Carol's sidekick? Did the heroes survey her and just be like, "Well, she has superpowers. That always works out. Okay kid, you can stay." And this is just passively accepted, hand-waved, swept under the rug, and enjoyed. Really? IT IS 2014.

I'm sure there was or will be at some point some sort of weak half-explanation for this, and I would thoroughly enjoy hearing it.
