She may be perfect just the way she is, but that didn't help Vick much. Now what? How could she possibly improve enough to rescue him from Doyle's evil clutches?

Teenaged Clark Kent probably spent a lot of weekends in the junkyards around Kansas. And the cars ended up partly frozen, partly melted, and partly bent.

Back in the Silver Age, Hal Jordan did three or four issues worth of going off somewhere to test the limits of his ring. (At the time, the rest of the Corps had not been introduced, and a story a few issues later had the official first ever gathering of the entire GLC.)

I'm waiting for the Wrecking Crew to show up. They're usually the go to "Not overly complicated, not overly powered, not sadistic killers, but violent and visulaly striking" villain team for neophyte heroes.

And that's like all they do at this point, it's a bizarrely specific niche to fill. Not that I object to it, but I wouldn't mind seeing them treated as a little less disposable, since I think their concept is interesting.

Well, the thing that's neat about the wrecking crew is that they have the explanation for their varying power levels built right in: The power depends on how much Wrecker is willing to give them out of his own pockets.

So if you need the Wrecking crew to say.... job to the Runaways, have the whole team there, plus have Pile driver's nephew tag along for an extra member to take power from. You want a legitimate threat? Send Wrecker in solo.

That being said, I'm not sure Kamala is ready for a team badguy fight yet. I mean even in full jobber mode its four against one.

Ooh, maybe if she ran into some of the Runaways to fight them with.

Probably not at the moment. They know she's been sneaking out at night and that she's in weird clothes, but there are a lot more reasonable explanations for that then "she's a teenage superhero", even in the Marvel Universe. After all, the last few times she snuck out were to go to a party and to see a movie.

fair enough... though they seem pretty smart. and since she threw that outfit together from something they bought her, it seems like they are pretty close to Gordon's "plausable deniability" line...

than again, my parents think i am straight and my friends swear i sneeze rainbows so...

Heh. Funny. My big "coming out moment" to my friends was, after drama practice my friends and I were going out for food and this is the conversation that happened in the car.

Best friend: okay so, I want tacos. Anyone else down?
Friends: yeah sure.
Me: hey guys. (Dead serious) I need to tell you something.
Best friend: (concern) ok. Is everything okay.
Me: okay. This is. This is really hard for me to say, so I'm just gonna say it.
Best friend: okay man we're here for you.
Me: guys. I'm gay.
Best friend: oh... so. You want tacos?
Me: what?
Best friend: you want tacos?
Me: I just.... I just told you... I just said I'm gay.
Best friend: yeah, and? So's my dad. Now, do you want tacos?
Me: but... this.... this doesn't change anything? You guys are still my friends?
Best friend: of course man, don't be an idiot.
Friends: (general murmur of concensus that I am being am idiot)
Me: oh. Okay then.
Best friend: geez man I thought you were gonna tell us you were dying or something. So. Do you want tacos?

Personally I wanted my coming out to my parents to be a little *less* casual than it was ^^ It's this big thing and then just this casual acceptance can feel a little anticlimactic, y'know?

Although I hadn't talked to them much about sexuality stuff at the time I came out, nowadays I've talked to them about a variety of things including transsexuality (and it doesn't hurt that my best friend runs a trans-support blog, which my parents know about). I'd expect drama from further out, but really I'd ridiculously fortunate close to home.

We are unaware if she has a crush on anyone at the moment, but the guy in the training montage & who finds the Ms. Marvel effigy has a crush on her.

ah, cool. either way. they seem kinda cute together... not that i am shipping her with anyone, but as a fan of fan fiction i can see how should would not be upset if i did so. :D


or maybe it';s that he kinda adorkable in his own right.... or i just like the way he gets scared :D

another question... i noticed her guantlet... is there a reason she only has one? is it a shout out to Carol? or is it functional?

Er, I have no idea. I didn't even notice it until you pointed it out. She doesn't do anything with it, and they haven't made any mention of it being something Bruno made her, so it's probably just decorative. She's not even wearing it in issue 6.
