Man, I loved Scribblenauts Unmasked. It's such a great mixture of stupid, insane, nerdy, childish and awesome.
I retconned Jor-El and Lara into putting baby Kal-El in a helicopter. I made the Justice League fight Flash's Rogues and after there was a flock of magical doves everywhere, and I didn't even summon any magical doves. I had to chop down some trees, so I summoned 'George Washington' and 'axe', and the game basically said, "Correct, PLAYER. Let's go watch some goddamned chopping."
The comic book sequel was also surprisingly fun. A lot of great references in these next four pages, but I've listed the best ones after the cut:

- Ted Kord is alive in Earth i.
- Ralph and Sue Dibny are alive in Earth i.
- Kelex, Superman's 'bot butler, is serving Tawky Tawny and Detective Chimp.
- WINNER: Nightwing and Starfire, together again! HOLY HELL LOOK AT JASON TODD.
- Renee Montoya is the Question!

- Atom is riding Hawkman like Falkor the Luck Dragon.
- WINNER: Apparently, there is no smoking on the Fortress. Constantine don't play that.
- Brainiac and Brainiac 5 playing chess.
- Robin and Superboy are both alive in Earth i. Also, a rabbit.

- Luthor, Lobo, Will Magnus and I think Luthor are playing cards on Plastic Man.
- Platinum (or is it Platina?) gushing over Cyborg.
- Ma Hunkel chasing her grandkids.
- WINNER: Shining Knight is asking for Wondy's help to catch his horse. I love his pose here, so kid-like.

- Steph Brown is hiding behind the Superman Blue costume.
- Black Mercy, from the Man Who Has Everything.
- Raven is grooving with Red Robin. This is clearly Trigon's influence.
- WINNER: Metallo is looking at what appears to be EVERY species of Kryptonite. Look at his eyes.
_____
Oh, this was by Josh Elder and Adam Archer, since we're out of tags, I think.
Anyway, if anyone else has played SU, any war stories out there? Like how you've tested every single Kryptonite in the game on Superman?
Because I have, often and flagrantly.

Date: 2014-09-02 09:48 am (UTC)There's 13 types of Kryptonite, but these have the most noticeable effects:
Gold = Depowers Kryptonians
Red = Random. One time Supes attacked the hell out of the Batcave and one time he just lay on the ground, all crazy. Status-related, mostly.
Black = Splits all characters into good and evil, even the Anti-Monitor.
Orange = turns nearby animals Kryptonian. (Doesn't work on Ace the Bat-Hound).

Date: 2014-09-02 08:42 pm (UTC)So the pink kryptonite giving Superman a desire to create window treatments and snuggle up to Jimmy Olsen was all part of the "joke". It was never really a serious addition to the kryptonite canon.
Was it a funny joke? That remains open for debate.
Somewhere far from here, since we all know where that writer and this board stand with regards to one another. :)

Date: 2014-09-02 02:07 pm (UTC)As whole DC should be really commended for ho good their digital line up and how successful it seems to be. Smallville and Injustice seem to be constantly at the top of the charts, and the books all seem give folks something that they miss from the pre Flashpoint universe.

Date: 2014-09-02 02:14 pm (UTC)Yeah, the digital line seems to be kicking all kinds of ass these days, particularly Injustice. The end of Gordon's story arc...
