Man, I loved Scribblenauts Unmasked. It's such a great mixture of stupid, insane, nerdy, childish and awesome.

I retconned Jor-El and Lara into putting baby Kal-El in a helicopter. I made the Justice League fight Flash's Rogues and after there was a flock of magical doves everywhere, and I didn't even summon any magical doves. I had to chop down some trees, so I summoned 'George Washington' and 'axe', and the game basically said, "Correct, PLAYER. Let's go watch some goddamned chopping."

The comic book sequel was also surprisingly fun. A lot of great references in these next four pages, but I've listed the best ones after the cut:

- Ted Kord is alive in Earth i.
- Ralph and Sue Dibny are alive in Earth i.
- Kelex, Superman's 'bot butler, is serving Tawky Tawny and Detective Chimp.
- WINNER: Nightwing and Starfire, together again! HOLY HELL LOOK AT JASON TODD.
- Renee Montoya is the Question!

- Atom is riding Hawkman like Falkor the Luck Dragon.
- WINNER: Apparently, there is no smoking on the Fortress. Constantine don't play that.
- Brainiac and Brainiac 5 playing chess.
- Robin and Superboy are both alive in Earth i. Also, a rabbit.

- Luthor, Lobo, Will Magnus and I think Luthor are playing cards on Plastic Man.
- Platinum (or is it Platina?) gushing over Cyborg.
- Ma Hunkel chasing her grandkids.
- WINNER: Shining Knight is asking for Wondy's help to catch his horse. I love his pose here, so kid-like.

- Steph Brown is hiding behind the Superman Blue costume.
- Black Mercy, from the Man Who Has Everything.
- Raven is grooving with Red Robin. This is clearly Trigon's influence.
- WINNER: Metallo is looking at what appears to be EVERY species of Kryptonite. Look at his eyes.

_____

Oh, this was by Josh Elder and Adam Archer, since we're out of tags, I think.

Anyway, if anyone else has played SU, any war stories out there? Like how you've tested every single Kryptonite in the game on Superman?

Because I have, often and flagrantly.

I'm not sure if Red Hood is more upset about Starfire and Nightwng being together and sharing a glass of lemonade, or the fact his helmet means he can't take a sip out of his own glass.

Is there pink kryptonite in this game, and if so what effect does it have.

Wait, is there a canon reason Ace isn't effected, or is it just a weird oversight?

I recall that there was a pink kryptonite in the comics, but that the effects were... um... well I am told that the behavior portrayed was viewed as stereotyping sliding right up to homophobic by a lot of gay fans. So I am sure that DC wants to forget pink kryptonite almost as much as Disney wants to forget Song of the South.

To be fair, that was revealed in an issue of Supergirl written by a certain three-letter-writer (rhymes with MAD), when she found herself trapped in what was basically the pre-Crisis universe, where she had taken the place of the original Supergirl.

So the pink kryptonite giving Superman a desire to create window treatments and snuggle up to Jimmy Olsen was all part of the "joke". It was never really a serious addition to the kryptonite canon.

Was it a funny joke? That remains open for debate.
Somewhere far from here, since we all know where that writer and this board stand with regards to one another. :)

I just laugh every time Lily calls Bruce "Mr. Batman"

Also, Deadman appears to be trying to woo Apparition (Phantom Girl as was), presumably assuming her intangibility means she's a ghost like him.

Green Arrow and Deadshot both being lousy aims.

Even in this universe, Batman vs Guy Gardner = "One punch!!"

Man Scribblenauts was the child friendly comic people were looking for. Its so good.

As whole DC should be really commended for ho good their digital line up and how successful it seems to be. Smallville and Injustice seem to be constantly at the top of the charts, and the books all seem give folks something that they miss from the pre Flashpoint universe.

In some ways it's actually a better sequel than Infinite Crisis, which I find amusing.

Gold (Metal Men) is missing part of his leg, presumably because GL & the villains are using it as poker chips.

Oh, that's where his leg is!

That first crowd panel: Talky Tawny? Detective Chimp? Wild Dog?

Wow.

I dunno. Just gave me headaches. I don't think it was just the puzzles, though, considering I play a lot of Layton. And the graphics was cute. I think the overall experience gave me headaches.

I'm pretty sure Ma Hunkel is chasing Sugar and Spike.
Truly, this game seems to have it all.

Another thing I love about this:

B'wana Beast eyeing that Triceratops-like thing with a TV on its head that Superman keeps in his zoo.

I figure he's trying to remember if he made that one.

I like it how N52 Kon is taunting/flexing to Zod and his crew, THAT is classic Kon-El right there.

The doves seem to appear when Weather Wizard does; you'll notice that he seems to be more 'wizard' than 'weather'. I wonder if it was a glitch on the designers' part. Anyway, they always appear whenever I spawn him.

My spouse and I have had way too much fun making the Rogues have dance parties and the like :>
