Trigger Warning Abelism, sexual, and romantic acts peformed under false pretenses, and possibly gore (though mild).
When last we left Jessica Drew, she had just been ordered onto a mission to save her lover, and fellow Hydra Agent, Jared, from SHIELD's Monaco base, and assassinate Nick Fury. We join her now already in battle against Fury himself when things start to go against her.
Three pages from Marvel Spotlight #32 (which brings me up to my 1/3rd quota for that comic over the past three posts), 7 1/2 of Origin #3, 7 1/2 of Origin #4)
Jessica takes aim at Fury with her Venom blast, when the master spy throws Jared in between them.

Vermis makes a deal to reveal Jessica's origins if she lets him escape. He tells her the truncated facts as he is aware of them (That she's an evolved Spider), and she is so stunned he is able to gas her. She chases after him and causes his escape plane to crash.
Now for the remake.

After this, and a revelation about her Parents... Jessica flees SHIELD and manages to go off the grid and hide from both Hydra and SHIELD for two years, but eventually they find her in London.

She manages to overcome, Jared, the Task Master, and the rest of the Hydra Goons brought against her.

Jessica at first refuses Fury's offer of a job... She wants to live her own life, and make something out of her parent's death. But Fury responds, "who told you your parents are dead?"

Jessica heads to her Mom's location, but finds she is beaten to the punch by Hydra.

From her mother's papers she learns about something called Project Athena. She again goes off the grid to research this on her own.

Jessica escapes in a small motor boat as Vermais' ship explodes.
Jessica follows the leads she's found to another Hydra base, where she finds her father. Which we'll see after a short intermission featuring the ever loving Thing and Hydra's attempt to replace Spider Woman.
