Cute, though imagining Baron Zemo watching Animal House just feels... weird.

It'd be like discovering Doctor Doom was a fan of Pee-Wee's Playhouse.

True, though there's a part of me that now want's to see Zemo - The College Years, where he's either a super-stereotypical Frat-boy (Fraternity House - Nu Alpha Zeta Iota) who wears a full face hood all the time but no one comments on it because they think he's cool (and he cans till chug a beer through it), or he's an Otter-like wannabe.

Doom watched Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, rooted for Francis, and then complained loudly that Francis' plan to steal Pee-Wee's bike was full of flaws.

I also like that the villains explicitly say that they rooted for the villains.

I think it would be more twisted if they rooted for the heroes just like most people while watching those movies, then go right on doing supervillain stuff afterwards.

I suspect many villains see themselves as the hero of their story.

I'm more amused that Zemo felt the need to make that clear, as if he'd lose Villain cred if he didn't. Only cool villains root for other villains, apparently.
