Oh yeah, I just remembered another moment I disliked about Gotham Underground. After all the character development that Paul Dini did for the second Ventriloquist over in Detective Comics, Tieri just had her led off to be "hurt" in an offhand comment in one of the issues. *sigh* She doesn't die, if only because Dini was still writing a story with her, but he still had a mentally ill woman apparently beaten or whatever offscreen... which is all the more unfortunate considering her own backstory of domestic violence.
