I had to google who "Sean Collins" might be in the GI Joe world... was not expecting that to be the answer... so much for a certain promise!

I had to look up Wade Collins. I guessed he was Cobra easily enough but not which one.

It's a little weird since he factored so heavily in the DDP GI Joe continuity seeing Hama do a new take on him now.

I'm so used to him being a Ninja.

Wait, I thought that Snake Eyes was disfigured due to a grenade going off in his face or something?

Yes he was disfigured (more than once IIRC since he received cosmetic surgery the first time), but he wears a rubber mask when going out into the civilian world. So far as I'm aware, we have never seen exactly what his disfigurement looks like in a Hama comic.

If I'm not mistaken Scarlett at one point tells him in this very issue that he needs to readjust it shortly after that off panel fight.

Not sure what Snake-Eyes' current status is in the Hama-verse. We did see what his original disfigurement looked like in a Hama book, forget the issue number but it was later in the run, and right before he got some extensive plastic surgery that made him look like a handsome blonde-haired dude again, but then there was a bit of damage to it that made some of the old scars more prominent...but still relatively handsome....

So if they're going with the "his face is all jacked up" again, I'm not sure when it happened. Last I recalled in the pre-IDW Hama continuity, he could walk around unmasked without too much attention.

He is definitely disfigured, in the issue where they go to comic con security asks him to take his mask off, and when he does... they ask him to take THAT mask off (meaning his disfigurement, because the guard assumed it had to be fake, before another guard a serviceman shut up the first one.
