"I'd ne'er HAVE recovered," Etrigan. You wouldn't say "I would never recovered." You'd never say that. Where did you learn English?

Plus, some of his rhyming is way off. Only and lonely? Kinda lazy, but why not. But test us and restless? Beloved and recovered? Those aren't even close!

Etrigan is hard to write.
Most writers make his rhymes bite.

I'd sooner bash my head in with a hammeter,
Then try t' write him in iambic pentameter.
While Moore can write him thus with great panache,
With me it comes out more like Ogden Nash.

I've tried it too, but what's the use?
Mine always sounds like Dr Seuss!

There is nothing as exquisitiely show-stopping as improvisational rhyming. Etrigan's rhyming has a chilling effect in a game session that is ten times as eeries as it is on the printed page. If you can master this role-playing challenge, you can steal every scene and be the envy of your gaming group.

It is not for the faint of heart, but if you are up to the challenge, it can be supremely rewarding.

The GM can encourage role-playing in verse by awarding a special Hero Point bonus for each completed rhyme. In game play provide the player with 1-5 Hero Points for each Skill or Power use that is accompanied by an effective rhyme.

Award 1HP for verses out of meter that barely rhyme, 3-4HP for real rhymes with a decent meter, and 5HP for truly excellent rhymes that fit the situation and amaze the other players.

For poetry so gorgeous it makes grown men weep and leaves women gasping for breath, award an automatic success to the accompanying action.

I once ran a Vertigo characters game of DC Heroes at a convention, and the player who chose Etrigan rhymed all his in-character speech. He got the unanimous vote for MVP from all the players and myself.

How do the physics of that strike even work?

If she wants silence so bad, why doesn't she just put on some earplugs or some noise-cancelling headphones? I'm sure she could procure some, with all the magic she has access to.

I know it's a small thing to nitpick, but...when the characters don't do obvious things to solve their problems, it really makes them seem less real.
