AVENGERS #280: Ultron vs. Jarvis
Mar. 10th, 2015 11:12 amBob Harras wrote AVENGERS #280. Hospitalized after Mr. Hyde tortured him, Jarvis reflects on his time in Avengers Mansion. It included a flashback that explained the "Jarvis was the Crimson Cowl" plot point from the first Ultron story.
Edit: Ultron's "hack" of my post has been fixed.

Which lead to this in AVENGERS #54-55:

This reminds me of "Hush." Jarvis "betrays" the Avengers, but (even hypnotized) he thinks they will win because they are the Avengers. In "Hush," Harold "betrayed" Batman, but Hush already knew Bruce Wayne's secret and Harold figured Batman would win because he's Batman.
When Ultron was revealed as the villain in the second Avengers movie, some thought Ultron would be Jarvis (the AI system) gone crazy. Now it seems the Vision will be Jarvis in an android (or synthzoid, if they use that word) body.

Justine Hammer was the second villain to use the alias Crimson Cowl, Ultron having been the first. Edwin Jarvis was framed as the first Crimson Cowl by Ultron. Dallas Riordan was framed as the second by Justine.
