I get that Marvel is trying to maintain the element of "Oooh, anything could happen you guys, you don't know what things are gonna look like after Secret Wars!" while dealing with an industrial were you have to promote things months and months in advance due to the direct market, but these vague teasers are completely pointless, they don't tell us anything so they can't get us excited.

Cept having some stuff shown that's post-Secret Wars...which reveal really not much has changed far as I know so...yaaaay?

And I wish they would use a font like Comic Sans, just to infuriate people and get some blood flowing.

They haven't given retailers any idea either, which was REALLY pissing off the owner of my local comic store, who has no clue what to order during Secret Wars and beyond. He was really unimpressed with Marvel's treatment of retailers and vagueness when I went in there yesterday.

Since they don't actually want anyone to know what is coming out of the whole Battleworld thing, I don't actually have a problem with advertising that appears quite so.. anodyne at this point.... If they use anything other than the blandest of fonts then fans will try to read meaning into their choices.

This is just letting us know that "Something new will be coming, end of message".

If it looks like this in three months time, then I'll have more of a problem with it.

The whole "The Marvel universe is gone, everything you know will be different" is more annoying to me than anything else because at the end of the day we're probably just going to get the illusion of change.

Heck I'd be surprised if they end up going as far as DC did with their "New 52" status quo.

I'll say that Marvel's done quite a bit of change in past events, altering the paths of characters and franchises fairly significantly.

Though it'll still be the same genre and all, of course.

Far as Rage of Ultron suggests (and it's been hinted to be post-Secret Wars, tho whether there's official confirmation is another thing), seriously, there's nothing much different. Hell I can't tell if there are characters legitimately acting differently because of Secret Wars, or because writing and characterization is just being inconsistent as per usual.

Personally I'm waiting for the walk back that almost always happens with these things when it comes to the scale being reduced eventually so the next big event can be even more epic in scale. I mean remember when Secret Wars/Secret Wars II had the beyonder as more powerful than the living tribunal and all other cosmic forces and then it came out it was all a scam to just help the beyonder grow so he'd eventually realize he was just a cosmic cube. (and later turned into an inhuman sorta maybe and now this)

But now I get it. This ad doesn't impress or entice me, I just want them to get on with it already. I've heard the promises a hundred times before, so they no longer have the same effect.
