Jason's globe-trotting with Roy, plus most all his Gotham appearances since Court of Owls imply that he's just dropping by the city.

Tim's out with the Titans on their Civil War thing, while Damian's on a world tour himself, fixing the bad things he's caused before becoming Robin.

They'll be back, of course, but right now there's not a single Wayne (blood or bond) currently on nightly patrol duty in Gotham right now. It's actually fascinating.

Jason and Tim haven't been in Gotham except in crossovers since 2011. Jason's still headlining in Red Hood and Arsenal, and Tim's still leading the Teen Titans.

I think that's just stylisation, to show the attitude she has in the (as of now) current run (namely, she and the series are a bit more light hearted than Gail Simone's book).

This section is someone called Bengal, who I'm not familiar with. (Other artists, BTW, are David LeFuente (Spoiler section), Ming Doyle (Batwoman section), and Mingjue Helen Chen (Gotham Academy section). Not sure why Babs Tarr didn't do a section, though Bengal and LeFuente do have similar styles to her.)

It's worth noting that earlier in the issue Dick did explain to Director Bertinelli that he couldn't use the Hypnos mask with Barbara as he was pretty sure she'd be able to ID him by body-language so had to operate where she couldn't see him. So he only shows up at the end where he doesn't need to actually fight anyone and is in heavy disguise, but perhaps not as heavy as it needed to be.

I am reminded of a scene from the second Charlie's Angels movie. Where Drew Berrymore character's psycho ex saw through her disguise. Because, and I quote "I'd recognize that arse anywhere, you piece of shite"

But there, the guy was nuts. Like they played the Cape Fear theme whenever he did anything. Here's it like okay, Barbara has a photographic memory. And Midnighter has a computer in his head or something?
What I'm saying is if they do this a third time I'll... I'll... reblog someone else ranting about it on Tumblr or something I dunno.

oh come on, it's hilarious. Dick's ass has been the best for years... and yeah, because of the fact that he is a guy, it is funny. where with girls its done in a way that be littles them and reduces them to objects, here that's not the case.

in particular Nichola Scott drew an AMAZING ass shot of him (she drew cheesecake and beefcake equally) in Secret Six and it wasn't objectification.

what's funny here is that yeah... dick has a nice ass... so that's become a running gag... they aren't using this to reduce his character to a sexual object....

the above line from the film is CLEARLY reducing her to a sexual object. where as if it was done in some other way (you know, NOT a skeevy ex who is also psychotic...) then yeah it might be funnny. Hell. if another girl had said it to her it would be funny. because it would have been good natured and not you know dripping with sexual objectification.

Now, in the movie. She WAS disguised as a male bellhop at the time. But getting off that. That is a whole other can of worms and I doubt it's important here.

I'm pretty sure I would have found this funnier if not only will I see any ass shot of Dick plastered over Tumblr the day it comes out regardless of who draws it. (heck I was laughing with everyone when it was with Midnighter) But if nearly EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF FAN ART I see of Dick is drawn to show off his butt. Regardless if it's just him or alongside other Bat family members. But that's fanart. I'm not going to police fan art because, you draw what you wanna draw.

But then I'm pretty sure people would flip their lids if there was a gender-flipped version of Dick being chased by teenage girls who named his ass cheeks. I don't doubt the Grayson Team knows what they're doing. But good grief this is literally making it canon that "Dick's ass is more recognizable than his face" and I'm not sure how I feel about that.

The whole "Dick Grayson has the best ass in comics" thing never sat well with me anyway since any butt can be drawn very well. Nichola Scott being a fine example of giving everyone a nice behind.
