Huh. And here I somehow had the impression that Fury Road took place in-between Road Warrior and Thunderdome.

I kind of took Max in Fury Road to be kind of a Man With No Name Deal. The same character, but his story isn't treated as a continuous narrative.

Funny how they didn't need any graphic depictions of rape, abortion, etc. to tell this story.

You know, of course, that "funny" isn't the word I mean.

Yeah, I assume the same thing. though if George wants to connect everything in the comics, that's cool too.

Which is why I'm happy to avoid these tie-ins overall. They might have Miller's name on them, but I'd guarantee it's only because they're using his concepts and story notes, given the development of Fury Road, and I don't really feel like any of them have necessarily contributed to how well I think the film worked or really embellished anything that well.
