I wonder if it's a coincidence or not. Between this, Wicked and Divine, and Journey into Mystery's meta-narrative Gillen has a running theme of all his protagonists being doomed.

huh...now i wonder how he would have done the end of the marvel universe...

It pretty much seems to be the defining trait of his work, in the same way all of Terry Gilliam's protagonists are vivid dreamers or all of Hickman's are moody self-righteous a-holes.

I want a comic that is Illyana with the Colossus demon-wolf and Leah Hel-Ranger and their amazing adventures together... and then throw in Miss America Chavez and whatever version of Kate Bishop you like.

I can't quite tell because the scans kind of flow into each other, but is there enough of a page count available to post the "kitty pride" scene? Because that made me truly laugh out loud.
