I still hope he'll get back to Liberty Meadows someday, if only to finish the Frank/Brandy/Roger storyline. But I can't say I blame him for focusing on cover art and such; it pays much better.
To the infamous Milo Manara cover for Spider-Woman (hence the imitations) and the time Frank Cho's reaction was to do one with Spider-Gwen in the pose, hence the bit about "until the Internet explodes" from the Joker. (Irony: Harley's pose is just different enough to look physically possible!)
That isn't bring Puritan. Puritan would be locking them in their room and starving them into compliance, or destroying those costumes and making them wear something less conspicuous.
Yeah, some of these are just parody - albeit hacky parody, because god forbid people should speak out about imagery they find distasteful, right? But ones like the She-Hulk one and the Power Girl ones are just tacky. I note that Cho deliberately goes after the people complaining about how female characters are depicted, but isn't bold enough to say, mock the people who got aggravated about that recent Batgirl cover, for instance.
At least in a way that wouldn't get him in trouble with DC, plus cheesecake is far more central to what people think of Cho's work than violence against women.
Yeah, Cho's a very good artist (even if he does have a very specific.... area of interest) but his reaction to being criticized was utterly classless. That and the fact that he seemingly won't let the matter drop has soured me on his work considerably, to the point where I wish someone else were relaunching Hulk with Greg Pak.
Really, what else is there to say? Cho is wasting his time and talents whining about something that everyone else has mostly forgotten about.
Except to mention that there are people out there applauding him for this, saying that he's being "bold" for standing up to "censorship". Even though no ones trying to censor Frank Cho, but I digress.
He keeps reminding me that he acts like a spoiled child when criticized, which makes me think I shouldn't buy his paid work -- what if I don't like it, and post about it somewhere, and he flips out again?
I don't see what he's trying to accomplish except make himself a hero to the G*merG*te style of angry anti-feminist fans, which seems a poor choice given that they undoubtedly will be quite unhappy with the "Political correctness gone mad!!1!" Hulk, who is not a white man.
Well, I admit it, If nothing else some of these did make me laugh. Too fluffy to get up in arms about...which I guess was his intent.
But as other folks have noted, he seems to have missed the window when this was a thing. The internet's kind of moved on to be upset about a whole lot of other things since. So maybe a bit pointless now I suppose. (But thanks for the laugh in posting them!)

Bottom line: If slash, feminism or anti-oppressive practice makes you react negatively, scans_daily is probably not for you.

Well, I can see Frank Cho doesn't have anything worth looking at.
