As much as I roll my eyes at biker bro Superman and his buzzcut, this isn't actually terribly written. I don't really love the concept much, but I'm willing to bet that it'll be a lot more palatable to me once the whole story's been wrapped up and I can read it as a whole.

Sometimes I feel like the DCnU Superman is a pastiche or parody of Superman, sorta like Irredeemable was - except written by DC itself and written by people who had never read a Superman comic. I don't know who any of these characters are and they certainly aren't more "likeable" or "relatable" (or whatever the heck DC is going for) than the pre-reboot version.

Perry especially in this segment. So Clark isn't allowed to have a life? Clark is who he is, not Superman! He grew up as Clark and that's who he is, Perry. Should he have shed Clark Kent and flown off to the Fortress of Solitude to live there and remain apart from humanity? Great idea! *rolls eyes*
