Gyo #9-10: The Death-Stench Invades

scans_dailyAgain, it's been a long time since we checked in with Gyo. However, in the spirit of the Halloween season, let's get back to it. Click here to refresh yourself on the manga and then let's get straight to it!
We start with Chapter 9: The Death-Stench Invades Part 1. Apparently, the walking fish leg invasion has gotten bigger and now as reached all the way to Tokyo! Tadashi is watching the fish run by when...
He leaves her alone in her room for a bit, calling his uncle to see if he knows a solution or an idea on how to solve this disease problem. However...
This would be more horrific if she wasn't farting herself around the room while being tied to that fan. Kind of drops the horror levels.
But anyways, he decides to take her to hospital, piggybacking her all the way there. However, once he arrives...
This seems strangely familiar... Anyways, the chapter ends as two are chased around by this new shark.
Next comes Chapter 10, the second part of the stink invasion. To make a long story short, the two escape the shark and end up at the uncle's home.
The uncle tells him he hasn't been able to contact Tadashi's parents and suggests to go check on them at their home in Kanagawa (which is a bit of distance from Tokyo) while he takes Kaori to the hosptial. So our lead does so...
Somehow the dead octo-squid thing is able to latch onto him with one its tentacles and drags Tadashi all over the streets of Tokyo...
However, his strength fails him and the chapter ends with our lead passing out in that small pit.
And that's the end.... of the first volume of Gyo. Next time, we'll pick it up with the second volume.
