It occurs to me, has Engineer ever built anything more complex than a gun of guns, bullets and missiles? Because I don't think I've ever seen it

She's made copies of herself.

She built the little "radiotelepathy" implants that the Authority uses to communicate in the field, and she's given herself artificial lungs to deal with non-terrestrial atmospheres. But yeah, she's more like a Hal Jordan-style Green Lantern (or Guy Gardner as Warrior) than a typical comic book super-engineer who builds a ton of different gadgets.

Alright, so I'm just getting into creative writing and my dialogue is pretty terrible right now, but even I think this isn't how normal human beings speak: "I'm no longer the vain, arrogant, self-centered, fame hungry diva you fell in love with."

That is just not how real people talk.
