This series has so many great character moments like this strewn about.
I guess that's why it keeps going even though the game has long since come and passed.

Agreed. Gordon's death, in particular, was handled beautifully. It's always in the execution, which this series has in spades.

Isn't it a little late for Diana to start feeling twings of guilt? Is Huntress the only person she knew of as a friend who's died in this thing?

Well she didn't "kill" Dinah or Ollie that was all on Superman. The GL Corp again Superman, Sinestro, and Hal. So basically, she's killed only one person so far and well Huntress's death hits two others hard in Year Four too.

I really wanted to like this series, but...

...I couldn't get into it. The writing turning Superman bad and the Justice League and the government against him is kind of ham handed and trying too hard. Supes killed the Joker after the deaths of Lois Lane, her fetus, Jimmy Olsen, and nuking of several million residents of Metropolis and people think he's "gone to far"? Really? At this point Joker, Harley, and their gang are domestic terrorists. Wouldn't everyone laud their deaths since they're a risk to everyone else?

Also, Bruce Wayne and the Bat Fam are more or less okay with having Harley as an ally after she was a huge participant in the Joker's terrorism and continues to commit violent crime.

Dick Grayson's death. Oy! Ditto: Helena The Huntress.

Shazam's powers make no sense. Not to mention Harley perving on Billy Batson is just all kinds of uncomfortable and gross.

I continue to be very impressed and confused by this series. This is a premise that is so dull/done/ugly/mean-spirited that I was certain it would be an unimpressive series (like the game ended up being, story-wise at least). But somehow, whoever is writing this (is it still the same person? It feels like it has the same voice) manages to make the series grounded, weighted and.... humane, in a way these types of storie are almost never done.

x2 to everything you said. Makes me wonder if the game's story could have been handled better if done by this writer....though I suppose the nature of the medium (forcing fights so there's actual gameplay) makes it a feel really strewn together and janky.

Is anyone else really surprised this series is still going? If it wasn't for this, I would've forgotten about the game long ago. I think most people have.

Also, where does this fall in terms of timeline with the game? Is this still all taking place before game's storyline? Because that's crazy.

The good thing is, there was only Five Years in between the prologue and the rest of the game.

So unless they deal with the aftermath, which would be better suited to the sequel... I see only one more year.
