The cover has a strong 1970s "comic magazine" vibe, similar to the POTA covers Marvel out out in the 1970s.

And suddenly Scotty teraching the apes the Time-Warp hop trick in the crossover that was shared a few days back makes more ominous sense, at least to somebody who's not really up on PotA lore.
