When did Apollo grant Jay any powers? Wasn't that Mercury who gave him the speed?

I haven't really been keeping up with Earth 2 since I think of it as the poster title for wasted potential leading to mediocrity.

But I'm pretty sure that your right esp considering that Mercury was IIRC explicitly the last of the Greek/Roman pantheon alive when he gave Jay his speed because he was dying from wounds suffered while he was imprisoned.

And if that's the case, which god gave Jimmy his powers? Athena?

And who the hell names their escape craft the Erebus? Erebus was either a) the oiriginal primordial deity of darkness or b) A place in Hades realm, the land of the dead.

Neither are exactly what you would call really positive names for an escape ship.

There's another ship named Erebus....

It was Mercury, the writer was simply to lazy to check, and the editor along with literally everyone else at DC, failed to give enough of a shit to catch the mistake.

i'm very confused.... i liked the original new 52 idea for earth 2 and it's characters. now i don't know WHAT"s GOING on...

The original idea was a new generation of heroes appearing after a war with Darkseid that ended with the death of the trinity. An interesting concept that went to crap pretty quickly with everyone bickering until the bad guys decided to kill off the planet over 25 issues of dreck.

There was a new batman that was thomas wayne on drugs, two new supermans; one that's pacifist and the other works for darkseid, the old superman came back to die, an old one got summoned by atlantis, green lantern and his dead husband tried to help but didn't really amount to anything, jimmy olson fused with a mother box, doctor fate got brain damage, dick grayson saw his wife barb get killed and his son get kidnapped, power girl and huntress came back just in time for angst and Constantine from the main earth stopped by for a couple seconds before deciding to gtfo.

i think the whole "Build back up the team" thing was really cool. up until convergence and then that time travel shit... also, why not make barbara into Oracle here... or hell make her into batwoman and have her split with Dick so taht shecan hunt down the bastards that took her son...

What I'm most curious about here is Anarky, as usual. So this one is female but the artwork makes me think she's either a preteen, trans or they rewrote the text on what was originally drawn as make.
